ART CLASSES

A Change of Pace
The art classes are evolving to include a variety of creative pursuits:
Fundamentals of Drawing,
Oil painting (using odourless mediums)
Illustration (step by step process)
 The continuation of the Mandala and Image of the Imagination workshops.
Whether you’re continuing a current project or looking for guidance to embark on a new creative journey,
these classes offer the perfect space to explore and grow.
Class Details
To allow for a deeper dive into the creative process, each class will now run for three hours:
Cost: $450 for a block of 8 ongoing.
To be used over two terms.
Fees will be structured in blocks of 8 classes, to be used flexibly over the semester.
This approach allows you to carry forward any missed sessions without needing to make them up.
Additionally, Sunday morning classes will be available if you’d like to add an extra session (details below).

About the Art Classes
You’ll receive individual guidance tailored to your current skill level
while enjoying a supportive and creative community as you work on your own unique piece of art.
The class covers the full painting process, including:
Step-by-step guidance from start to finish
Color mixing techniques
Understanding light source and shadow
Exploring different mediums
Using a variety of brushes effectively
Fundamental Drawing techniques
Illustration process
This class can also serve as an extension of the workshops Mandala Art or Images of the Imagination.

Sunday Morning Class Details

For those looking to dedicate additional time to their creative projects,
I’m offering an art class on Sunday mornings.
This class is perfect for continuing work on your current pieces,
or exploring new ideas in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Focus: Open studio for ongoing projects or new inspirations
This extra class provides the opportunity to deepen your practice and enjoy more time immersed in your creative journey.

IMAGES of the IMAGINATION WORKSHOP
DATE:  TBC
TIME: 10am - 4pm
COST: $160

About the Workshop
This workshop is designed to help you unlock your imagination through a specific, guided technique.
We begin with brief warm-up exercises to familiarise you with the process,
followed by longer sittings to allow your subconscious to reveal the beginnings of an image.
Using a blend of reference material and your creativity, we develop a detailed drawing as a foundation for your painting.
From there, we embark on the painting journey. I work with each participant individually,
supporting you at your own pace as we explore ideas of colour, style, and technique.
Demonstrations are provided to ensure a clear understanding of the applications.
You’re welcome to join the Extra Art Class (details below) to continue working on your painting if needed.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave not only with a completed or near-completed painting
but also with a wealth of ideas and inspiration for future creations.

MANDALA WORKSHOP

The Mandala invites you on a profound inner journey.
Rooted in the ancient Tibetan tradition, this practice serves as a powerful prelude to meditation.
Painting a Mandala opens the gateway to your higher self,
activating intuition and fostering compassion, love, peace, and tranquility.
As you work on your Mandala, you gradually integrate with it, embodying the essence of Oneness.
My own understanding of Mandalas has been deeply enriched under the guidance of Lama Tendar, a Tibetan Lama.
This workshop also embraces the use of symbols from various traditions,
allowing students to connect with their ancestral lineage and create a Mandala that resonates personally.
