Testimonials Fundamentals of Drawing I have created many artworks from new perspectives using the right side of my brain. This took time and focus and was difficult as it felt like letting go of things I was so used to mindlessly following. I have learnt that art is deeply complex and takes complete passion. I have learnt how to break things down into shapes and see them for what they are not what I'm trying to see. I have learnt how to give things texture, how to use shading to my advantage, and how to better see art all around me. I am ready to let go of my old view of art. I am ready to see that there is a ration to everything and to create it takes passion. I am ready to let go of the idea that only the gifted people can do art Pip I loved Mary's class and am so looking forward to next term. Not only did Mary gently and patiently help me dramatically improve my drawing, she helped me embrace my style and created a warm, inviting environment for us to create each week. Alison General Drawing Mary's encouragement, patience, the ability to understand what we see and, more importantly, showing us that there's a lot more to see in everything; makes for a class that you can relax in and enjoy the process of learning how to draw. Simone Mary's class provided a safe space to tap into one's own creative imagination and develop new painting skills targeted to each individual's unique ability. She guided each of her students with a genuine appreciation for their creative idea and demonstrated new techniques and skills using personal artwork examples. Seeing the progress of her own pieces come to life each week was very inspiring and helped each of us understand the process of using oil paints. Thank you again Mary, I will be back. Having never painted anything I've started a piece of art to be proud of. Thank you so much Mary Shelly Honestly, I was not sure I would accomplish much in a day but Mary's technique makes it easy to see the images and transfer them to canvas. Really happy with what I have accomplished in such a short time. Bridget The start of this process is such a fabulous tool. First time I was amazed by the effectiveness of the technique, second time I am still so surprised by what comes into being. Bridget Thoroughly enjoyed this class and the freedom that has come with it. Rachael Mary is great at guiding someone through listening to, trusting and finally doing what intuition says. By the end of the class I was oil painting for the first time ever, trusting myself and going with the flow of creating. Great fun! Lisette This is a truly wonderful class to start something which will open you up to your own creativity, lots of learning but simple and fun. Bahar Mary is an amazing teacher, so clear and concise with her teaching that makes the process fun and motivating and wanting to do more.
